Gov. won't take side on gun control bills

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker refused to say Wednesday whether he will support proposals in the Legislature to ban assault rifles and the sale of high damage ammunition

TG: But I thought Scott Walker was a pro-gun, conservative Republican? Why won't he take sides against unconstitutional gun control bills?

WALKER REVERSES POSITION

http://www.walker.wi.gov/Documents/11.16.12%20Letter%20to%20Secretary%20Sebelius.pdf

Dear Secretary Sebelius:

Please accept this letter as official notification to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that Wisconsin will not build a state-based health insurance exchange and will defer to the federal government’s insurance exchange.

...

If the state option is chosen; however, Wisconsinites face risk from a federal mandate lacking long-term guaranteed funding. ... operating a state exchange would not provide the flexibility to meet our state’s unique needs or to protect our state’s taxpayers.

TG: It took some arm-twisting by taxpayers to pressure Gov. Walker to make the right decision, but at least he did make the right decision. It opposed his earlier position that if Wisconsin would be in serious danger if it did not accept the exchange. Apparently he was being less than honest when he took that position. He has shown himself to be untrustworthy. We can't count on him to take a stand for what's right unless we force him to do so.

THE FINE NINE

At least we have nine legislators who take their oath of office seriously. Will they arrest Scott Walker if he tries to implement Obamacare?

Wisconsin legislators call for arrest of federal officials implementing Obamacare

Nine members of the Wisconsin state legislature say they plan to back a bill to arrest federal officials who try to implement Obamacare.

The state’s Republican Gov. Scott Walker must decide by Friday whether the state will draft a health care exchange plan under Obamacare or surrender the task to the federal government.

Of the nine Republicans who advocated arresting federal officials, eight have also said on record that they want to write a law that would permit prosecuting TSA agents who physically search passengers with sexual assault.

Additionally, all nine told a tea party-aligned group that they supported the passing of  legislation that would allow people to carry guns without first acquiring a permit, allow people to buy raw or unpasteurized milk,  and block state funding for federal Real ID laws that require states to develop more secure driver’s licenses.

MARV MUNYON POINTS OUT ABORTION ANGLE

If Gov. Walker implements Obamacare in any way, he will be supporting the abortion of thousands of prenatal children.

ISSUE OF INTEREST ALERT 11/12/12

Last January, Wisconsinites cheered when Gov Walker sent back to the federal government a $38 million Early Innovator Grant that was sent to Wisconsin to establish an Obamacare exchange, along with an additional $11 million intended for the integration of the states's Medicaid system into the planned exchange.

Today the struggle against Obamacare has reached an even more critical juncture than last January. Gov Walker announced the next day after the election on November 7 that Wisconsin would be able to comply with an Obamacare exchange by November 16. Wisconsin must remain one of the states declaring, "NO!" to Obamacare.

Implementing and promoting Obamacare threatens the sovereignty of this state and the personal liberty of every single Wisconsinite - including the lives of the unborn, which Gov Walker has to date always advocated. No other considerations can compare to life and liberty.

Please call the Governor's office today at 608-266-1212 and inform Gov Walker to stand with at least 11 other states which have already passed measures that expressly or effectively nullify Obamacare. Obamacare is not an option and inform Gov Walker we are waiting for him to issue an unequivocal, "NO!" to Obamacare.  Also call your own state senator and representative and ask them to stand against the implementation of an Obamacare exchange in Wisconsin.

CFL OPPOSES WALKERCARE

LETTER FROM TODD WELCH of the WI CAMPAIGN for LIBERTY:

In 2010, Wisconsin resoundingly rejected ObamaCare when the ObamaCare exchanges emergency rule was repealed by Governor Walker after tremendous pressure from the grassroots.

And the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision prevents the federal government from forcing states to implement ObamaCare’s Medicaid expansion by withholding all Medicaid funding from any State that refused to do so.

Further, if a State simply refuses to accept federal mandates (and the associated “bribe” money) to implement ObamaCare health exchanges, then the entire law falls flat on its face.

That's good news, right?

You'd think this would be a no-brainer for a Wisconsin “conservative” like Governor Scott Walker.

Our Republican elected officials have been very vocal in their opposition to ObamaCare and even voted down a bill that would have implemented it.

And they have routinely claimed to be fiscally conservative, too. So it should be a done deal that ObamaCare will not be implemented in Wisconsin.

Then what is the problem?

Well, it appears that Governor Scott Walker is planning to spring ObamaCare health exchanges on Wisconsinites anyway.

So while constitutional conservatives were focused on last week’s election results, Governor Walker was launching a plan to implement ObamaCare exchanges in Wisconsin.

Walker believes that shoving ObamaCare down our throats is the only option in light of Obama's reelection that provides no chance of repeal.

Well-established sources have told us that Walker has appointed Cindy Polzin to implement ObamaCare in Wisconsin.

This is stunning news considering he responded to grassroots pressure and repealed attempts to create a state-based exchange, knowing full well that it would pave the way for ObamaCare.

Not only is Governor Walker reversing the position he and the General Assembly took in 2010, but once Wisconsin implements the federal exchange, there will be no changing course later.

Federal law dictates that federal exchanges under ObamaCare be operated by rules and regulations promulgated by the federal Secretary of Health and Human Services.

And Wisconsinites will foot the bill!

So, what can you do?

CLICK HERE to contact Governor Scott Walker today and demand that he refuse all federal “bribe” money and mandates to implement ObamaCare health exchanges in Wisconsin!

Remind the Governor that he works for you and not the health care lobby or the federal government!

Make it clear that you will be watching his actions and that you will hold him accountable should he implement his ObamaCare health exchange scheme.

Wisconsin Campaign for Liberty led the fight to repeal the ObamaCare exchanges and stop ObamaCare at our borders. We have come too far to give up now.

We must insist that Walker refuse the implementation of ObamaCare in Wisconsin immediately!

It is his responsibility as Governor under the 10th Amendment to stand up to the over-reaching power of the federal government and protect the citizens of Wisconsin.

Tell Governor Scott Walker we expect nothing less!

In Liberty,

Todd Welch
State Coordinator
Wisconsin Campaign for Liberty

P.S. Contact Scott Walker today and demand that he refuse all federal “bribe” money and mandates to implement ObamaCare health exchanges in Wisconsin.

LASEE FIGHTING WALKER ON OBAMACARE

More appropriately called Walkercare in Wisconsin. Scott Walker already tried, backed off, and is ready to try again, to carry the water for Barack Obama's socialist heath care plan.

Sen. Frank Lasee has been fighting him on it. Lasee was reviled by even most state Republicans for opposing Walker's efforts, but Lasee was RIGHT to do so.

WALKER CONSIDERING 15% GAS TAX HIKE!

With conservative Republicans like this, who needs liberal Democrats?

http://m.jsonline.com/blogs/purple-wisconsin/178393361.html

Walker considering a 15% boost in the gas tax
The Madison Capital Times is reporting that adding five cents in taxes to the cost of a gallon of gas in Wisconsin is among the options nearing final consideration by the Walker-no-new-taxes-administration. We're already a high-gas-tax state at almost 33 cents-a-gallon, data show. Most states have lower taxes. A nickel would amount to a 15% tax boost.

Among the other new-revenue options: toll roads and even fees from the owners of hybrid vehicles; their efficient vehicles are selfishly robbing the transportation fund and road-builders' bottom lines of gas tax payments to which the government.road-builder complex feels entitled.
